The task will be even tougher for the Chicago Bears defense on Sunday against the Detroit Lions without the services of last weeks NFC Defensive Player of the Week Shea McClellin. McClellin who was ruled doubtful for Sunday’s game with a tweaked hamstring.

With many calling out McClellin for his lack of production for the first half of the season, he had his best game of the season with 3 sacks against the Green Bay Packers. McClellin doesn’t look to be in the lineup Sunday along with Lance Briggs, Patrick Mannelly, and newly signed Jay Ratliff.

The Bears defense has struggled all season giving up huge chunks of yardage, but at least McClellin and Julius Peppers were able to get pressure on Aaron Rodgers and Seneca Wallace Monday night, and now it looks like it will be all up to Peppers on the defensive front Sunday.

Will the McClellin lose be too much for the Bears defense to overcome?
