Another blow on the injury front is Jay Cutler, who made a miraculous recovery from a torn groin to only miss one game.  Now, Cutler is expected to be sidelined with a high ankle sprain, the worst of all ankle sprains.  I was skeptical about the “ankle” the Bears described with Cutler, who reached toward his groin area on a number of occasions on Sunday.  I guess it’s a really high sprain.

Cutler will be considered week to week and could miss the next game against the Ravens.  The week after, the Bears head to St. Louis to face a fierce Rams pass rush.  I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t see Cutler until after Thanksgiving against the Vikings.

Critics will question whether rushing Cutler back against the Lions was a wise move and if that ultimately led to the subsequent ankle injury.  Bears fans clamoring for McCown are likely to get their wish for at least the next week.  I’ll check with Dr. Brandon Marshall to see what he thinks.

No one said this was going to be easy. Keep your head up Bears fans and…

BEAR DOWN!!!
