The Bears needed this game more than anything. They lost to a Vikings team that has nothing to look forward to except the offseason. The Bears needed a win to keep pace with the Lions and stay in the mix in the playoff run. Now they have to run the table the rest of the season and hope another team ahead of them loses a game or two just for a prayer to get into the playoffs.
This week’s game ball goes to Alshon Jeffery. Jeffery caught 12 passes for 249 yards, breaking his franchise record of 218 yards set earlier this season against the Saints. You would think defensive coordinators have received the memo about Jeffery. While all the defensive attention is going to Brandon Marshall, Jeffery sees single coverage.
