Dec 1, 2013; Minneapolis, MN, USA; Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson (28) is tackled by the Chicago Bears defense during the first quarter at Mall of America Field at H.H.H. Metrodome.

It’s only fitting that the Bears’ last trip to the Metrodome wind up a heartbreaking 23-20 overtime loss.  That building has been a house of horrors for the Bears for decades.   Sunday’s stunning 23-20 loss was emblematic of the 2013 season – it was a game of missed opportunities and questionable decisions.  It was a demonstration of offensive firepower and defensive ineptitude.  It was penalties and lack of discipline sprinkled with “wow” highlight moments.  It was rookie mistakes on the field and on the sidelines.  This is 2013 Chicago Bears football.

If you thought the loss to St Louis was rock bottom, grab a barf bag and pull up a stool as we try to figure out what went so terribly wrong in this game and with the season.
