Coach Boss (9-5)

I want to be an optimist. I want to pick the Bears over the Eagles. I look at the Eagles roster and I see Shady McCoy and the #1 rushing attack in the NFL going up against the #32 ranked rushing defense. And it’s not even close. Phili is giving up 24.9 ppg while the Bears are giving up 27.9. On the offensive side of the ball the Eagles are scoring 26 ppg and the Bears are #2 in the NFL with 29 ppg. This game is a toss up, and tossing or throwing will be the difference in the game. The Bears are 4-0 in prime time this season. Expect a lot of points.

Bears 45 – Eagles 41

Trent Anderson (4-6)

Lance Briggs probably won’t have a great game statistically, but his impact will be felt as the Bear D will Bear down on the NFL’s best running back, Lesean McCoy. Conte and Wright MUST keep Desean Jackson in front of them, otherwise DJax could rewrite the record books. Still, Cutler will sling the ball all over a fairly pedestrian Eagles D and Forte will bleed it out.

Well, my personal record picking the Bears looks suspiciously like the mediocrity this franchise left behind when they expelled the Angelo/Smith regime…never fear Bear-faithful and rejoice that the Trestman years are upon us!  After the loathsome Lions gave up the pole position, our beloved Bears will clip the flight feathers of the Eagles, bringing a certain Philly QB back to earth as he gives up multiple picks to the D.  Then, we will send the Pack packing while sports pundits begin their annual ritual of picking spoilers, losers and Champions…Always underestimating our Bears.  So it goes for our ilk….be confident that times are changing for Bear fans around the world and greener pastures are ahead!
