The Detroit Lions did their part, losing to the New York Giants in Overtime, losers of 5 of their last 6 games. The Green Bay Packers did their part too, dropping a shootout to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Heck, even the Dallas Cowboys did their part and knocked off the Washington Redskins, making the Sunday Night game relatively meaningless for the Philadelphia Eagles. Now, the Chicago Bears need to do their part and win on in Philadelphia and they will be the NFC North Champions!
If the Bears can win in Philadelphia, they would be assured to be the #3 seed in the NFC by virtue of having beaten both NFC East contenders, the Eagles and Cowboys, holding the tiebreaker. If they can stay in the #3 seed, they could avoid a Divisional Round trip to Seattle, assuming the Seahawks, who lost at home to the Arizona Cardinals, earn the #1 seed next week. A San Fran loss would also mean the Seahawks lock up the top seed.
