The 2013 season is barely over for the Chicago Bears, but it’s never too early to take a sneak peak ahead and look at the 2014 opponents. While we won’t know the “when,” we already know the “who” for next season.
While a big chunk of the opponents is pre-determined, the final pieces of the puzzle came into focus following Sunday’s results.
The Bears will face the usual three home and three away with the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions. The home slate will also include visits from the NFC South New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the AFC East Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins and the like NFC East finisher, the second place Dallas Cowboys.
The Bears will hit the road to visit the NFC South’s Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons and AFC East’s New England Patriots and New York Jets and the like finished in the NFC West, the San Francisco 49ers.
The 2013 winning percentage of their opponents was .496 and includes playoff teams the Packers, Saints, Panthers, 49ers and Patriots. The Cowboys and Dolphins just missed the postseason.
The schedule is usually revealed some time in April, so you can start saving up for your 2014 road trip now.
