While Gilbert sets the bar for cornerbacks in this year’s draft, Dennard is no slouch himself.  Gilbert has the better physical set of skills, but Dennard is better at reading quarterbacks and route recognition.  He’s the type of cornerback that other teams avoided when playing Michigan State last season.  His durability could be an issue though as he missed time in each of his first three years as a Spartan.  Still, Dennard would be a fantastic grab for the Bears if he’s available at 14.
