I’ve seen Verrett as low as the 5th or 6th-ranked cornerback heading into this year’s draft.  But I’m a big fan.  Verrett doesn’t have the size or stats of Gilbert and Dennard, but he looks and plays like Jennings.  Maybe the Bears will want to avoid having two similar cornerbacks starting across from each other, but if they’re willing to draft Verrett they’ll get a player with great instincts and explosiveness to the ball.  He’s a stretch in the first round for the Bears, but I love his value as a potential second round pick.
