4) Tom Savage, Pittsburgh

Savage is a fantastic prospect for his pure throwing ability.  He makes a lot of the short and intermediate throws look effortless, but needs work on his deep passing.  At nearly 6-4, 228 he’s on the bigger side of this year’s class and does not have great athleticism when it comes to getting out of the pocket.  He worked behind a porous offensive line at Pittsburgh and still threw for 2,958 yards and 21 touchdowns last season.  Savage is a great prospect for the Bears based solely on his passing abilities and the potential for him to develop into a much better game manager.
