Reader’s Mock Draft: Buffalo Bills on the Clock
By John Vassar
Team Needs:
Offensive Tackle: Run blocking ranked 8th worst in the NFL. They need to upgrade at the tackle position after a disappointing season from Erik Peters at right tackle.
Linebacker: The Bills finished 28th against the run, the top rated run defenders came from the defensive line. They to upgrade here at LB and add depth.
Tight End: The Bills re-signed Chandler, but that doesn’t solve all the problems. The need for a strong blocking tight end is evident by the poor showing by the Bills in the red zone.
Wide Receiver: The current Bills receivers have plenty of speed but none are the big bodied types that are now in vogue. Having that type of receiver that can box out in the end zone would give Manuel a big target.
Safety: With the departure of Byrd, that leaves two young safeties to come in and replace him. New DC, Jim Schwartz, likes his safeties to be interchangeable and aggressive tacklers.
