 Team Needs:

Cornerback: Even with the signing of Nolan Carroll, Bradley Fletcher and Cary Williams have not proven that they can be solid starters in the NFL. Brandon Boykin showed promise and could take over as starter if this position is not addressed, but the Eagles would be foolish to ignore this position in the first 2 rounds of this draft. Jason Verrett or Kyle Fuller would be good additions here and should be available.

Linebacker: DeMeco Ryans has struggled to adapt to a 3-4 defense. More importantly, other than Trent Cole, no LB in this group has done a well enough job rushing the passer. This defense had a very tough time getting pressure on opposing QBs last year and in a 3-4 defense, you better have active outside LBs that can sustain pressure.

Defensive End: This ties into my last statement. Fletcher Cox has showed signs of being the first rounder the Eagles selected, but there needs to be more depth in the rotation with Cox and Cedric Thorton. Again, the Eagles struggled getting to the quarterback last year and that includes DE.

Safety: Nate Allen had a better year in 2013 and no Eagle’s fan is sad to see Patrick Chung leave, as he was awful last year. Malcom Jenkins is not enough of an answer here – Calvin Pryor may slip to 22 and should be considered greatly if he does.

Wide Receiver: Whether you think D Jack is a #1 WR or not, there is no question that none of the WRs on their roster are even close. 82 rec. for 1,332 yards is a lot of lost production that has to be made up. If Brandin Cooks is there, he’d be tough to pass on.
