4) A.C. Leonard, Tennessee State
Leonard is undoubtedly the riskiest choice in this group. He’s had major off-the-field problems despite being a highly touted prospect at Florida early in his career. At 6-2, 252 he’s got good, not great, size but his athleticism is off the charts. Many scouts got their very first glimpse of Leonard at the combine and he did not disappoint, turning in the fastest 40-time among all tight ends. He won’t likely be on the radar for many teams in the draft, but if the Bears find themselves still in need of a tight end in the very late rounds, Leonard could be worth a look.
