Calvin Pryor, S – Louisville

Phil Emery has shown that he does not care about mock drafts, and this year is no different. He has reached in the last 2 years in the first round, so why not this year? I personally think they should take Aaron Donald at #14 as he is disruptive, a backfield’s worst nightmare and one of the best pass rushers in this draft. I know he’s undersized, but hey…so was John Randle. I believe that DT is the thinnest position group on the Bears. That being said, it’s no secret that Emery likes Pryor’s ability to force turnovers and ability to play both safety positions. Dallas needs safety help at #16 and there’s a big drop off from Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix and Pryor to the rest of the safeties in this draft. Whatever happens, In Phil We Trust! (minus Shea McClellin and Brandon Hardin, of course)

 Eric Ebron, TE, North Carolina

The Bears fool everyone and stay on the offense by selecting Eric Ebron. Currently, the Bears only have Martellus Bennett as a sure fire offensive weapon at TE. The addition of Ebron opens up a whole new world of fire power for the Bears. Ebron is not on the same level as a blocker as Bennett, but as a reciever he will put tremendous pressure on defenses, ala Jimmy Graham. He can play in multiple sets, and allows Trestman to utilize better two tight end sets than previously. Ebron is one of a kind, and there is plenty of talent in later rounds for defense. In the NFL today it’s all about offense baby!
