The Chicago Bears continue to sign all of their draft picks, the latest being first round draft pick Kyle Fuller.  On Wednesday, Fuller and the Bears agreed to terms on a four-year deal with a fifth year option.  The Bears are the first team to reach agreement with a first round pick.

Even though Fuller may not necessarily be a Day 1 starter, with incumbents Tim Jennings and Charles Tillman presumably locked in as the starting cornerbacks, Fuller will see plenty of time on the field.  I was just listening to the radio yesterday when I heard the stat that the Packers and Lions run three wide receiver sets over 65% of the time, which means Fuller will be pressed into duty a lot.

Adding Fuller will also give Mel Tucker and the Bears awful defense a lot of options t0 throw new looks at opposing quarterbacks to be a little more unpredictable.  Fuller is a capable blitzer, so many you’ll get to see some more corner blitzes too.

With the Fuller signing, the Bears have only one draft pick to sign in advance of their rookie minicamp, which runs Friday through Sunday.  Will Sutton, what are you waiting for???  Get the deal done!

BEAR DOWN!!!
