Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery has been ranked #54 in the latest version of the NFL’s Top 100. He joins teammates Matt Forte (91), Tim Jennings (74) and Jared Allen (68) on the list so far. It’s another well deserved accolade for the rising star out of South Carolina. Entering his third year, there are high expectations to top a stellar sophomore season.
Jeffery had his breakout year in 2013 after an injury-filled rookie season. He seemed to get better and stronger each week to put up some eye-popping stats. He finished tops on the team with over 1400 yards receiving with 7 touchdowns. He ranked 6th among NFL receivers with that yardage, which was good for a Bears record. He broke the Bears record for receiving yards twice last season, hauling in 219 yards against the Saints and then breaking the record with 249 yards against the Vikings a few weeks later.
