Happy Independence Day from Bear Goggles On
Happy Independence Day from the team here at Bear Goggles On!
To start the 2014 season, let’s declare our independence from mediocrity and missing the postseason. The Bears have built a world class offense and rebuilt their defense with several new players. It’s time to rise up and get back to the playoffs in 2014. It’s time to declare our independence from Lovie Smith’s predictable and worn out Cover-2 defense and embrace Mel Tucker’s new scheme. It’s time to declare our independence from Jerry Angelo’s crappy drafts and get some immediate contributions from our draft picks.
There’s no better way to honor the greatest country in the world than by enjoying this clip of the National Anthem performed before the NFC Divisional Playoff game between the Chicago Bears and Seattle Seahawks back in 2011. Chicago Blackhawks anthem performer Jim Cornelison gave a stirring rendition, capped off by an incredible flyover of Soldier Field.
Let’s hope that we can have another anthem performance at Soldier Field this season to kick off a deep playoff run by the Bears this season. What do you think? Can the Bears return to the playoffs in 2014? Have a safe, fun and relaxing July 4th holiday. Training camp is just about 3 weeks away!
