The Chicago Bears added another wide receiver to their roster Tuesday evening, bringing back Dale Moss for another shot with the team. Moss was with the Bears on the practice squad in 2012 and 2013. The 6-3, 215 pound receiver spent time with the Packers, Panther and Bucs since entering the league as an undrafted free agent out of South Dakota State. Moss only played one year of college football after playing basketball for four years.

Moss gets a shot because another Bears receiver is sidelined with a foot injury. Don’t worry, it’s not Alshon Jeffery. He should be fine. According to Brad Biggs in his Chicago Tribune report, Terrence Toliver is seeking a second opinion on his injured foot. There is speculation that there is a fracture in his foot, which could end up spelling an injury settlement. Toliver spent last season on the Bears practice squad, but if he’s sidelined with a foot injury it is likely the end of the road.
The Bears had a roster spot open when they waived OG James Dunbar last weekend.
