The ramifications from yesterday’s practice still are being felt today with the Marc Trestman and the Bears franchise deciding to suspend and fine Martellus Bennett for his actions at yesterday’s practice.
Bennett from accounts was closed lined (just looks like a high strip attempt by Kyle Fuller) then overreacted and body slammed (more like a tackle) Fuller after the play was whistled dead. So Trestman shut down practice and decided last night to hand out the punishment.

I have three quick thoughts about this
1. It’s total overreaction from Bennett on the play and now the organization the day after.
2. Is Bennett really going to be upset about missing the final days of training camp and maybe a preseason game or two?
3. Would George Halas have every suspended Dick Butkus or would have Mike Ditka suspended say Dan Hampton for fighting during a practice? Football has changed a lot!
What do you think of the Bennett suspension and fine?
