As for the reserves, Jimmy Clausen came back down to Earth after a strong debut last week.  He went 11/15 for 94 yards with an interception on a tipped pass.  He failed to lead the Bears on any scoring drives in his time in the game.  Jordan Palmer led a pair of 4th quarter scoring drives, although the rookie running backs Ka’Deem Carey and Sinorice Perry did the scoring with a pair of rushing touchdowns, Perry’s game winner coming in the closing minute of the 4th quarter to cap the comeback.  That battle is only going to heat up in the final couple of weeks of the season.  CJ WIlson’s interception in the closing minute iced the game.

There were still issues with penalties for the Bears with three apiece for the offense and defense.  Injuries reared their ugly head as well.  Rookie first round draft pick Kyle Fuller injured his ankle on the opening kickoff and Week 1 hero Zach Miller left Soldier Field in a walking boot after suffering a foot injury.  Defensive end Willie Young was a surprise scratch with a knee bruise.  Otherwise, the usual cast of characters who’ve been missing practice the last week sat out.

What did you think?  Are you discouraged by the slow start for the starters?  Did the defense just have an off night or are there bigger concerns?

BEAR DOWN!!!
