We had so much fun doing our Countdown to Kickoff series last season that we decided to do it again. In case you’re new to the series, we’ll do a roster preview as we count down the days until the Chicago Bears September 7th season opener against the Buffalo Bills.
11 more days.
I am starting to recover mentally from the beat down on Friday night against Seattle but there is still an aftertaste. Nothing that some wins can’t fix.

Our # 11 is a wide receiver from Louisville that the Bears picked up off of waivers. He bounced around the league on a few practice squads and ended up here. The Bears will keep 5 or 6 receivers and I don’t know if he’ll make it. If he can contribute on special teams, he has a good chance.
He’s made a few catches in the preseason, most notably a 41-yarder from rookie QB Fales. We will see if that catch, plus action on special teams earns him a spot with our Beloved.
