This kid knows how we feel. I was supposed to be writing about a win.
Are the Bills good this year, or are we bad? After the first touchdown the Bears scored, I was fine. They made it look easy and I thought more good was coming.
Not much more good came, until we tied it up. Then we went into overtime. Then we blew our first possession, then we lost.
Not feeling very positive right now. With the 49ers on the horizon, and a very tough first half of our schedule, I’m kinda bummed..
Every fan looks at their schedule and circles some sure wins. This game was circled on every Bears fan’s schedule. Even the pessimistic ones.

I blame Jake Biehl.
He is the Buffalo Bills fan that I invited over to watch the game. He is not even a real fan. Why do I say that? Because Tom Brady is his fantasy quarterback.
That would be like me taking Aaron Rodgers as mine. That would never happen though because I don’t prostitute my fanship by playing fantasy football.
I understand how popular fantasy football is. I get it. Nothing I say will change that. My thoughts on the matter are that every time you introduce a conflict to your favorite team, you weaken your support.
Does it matter? Yes it does. When your team is losing you are supposed to feel like crap. You’re not supposed to be OK because you have the opposing teams’s defense in fantasy football.
Fantasy football’s popularity is symbolic with every thing that is wrong with society today. People don’t show up or are late, don’t return calls or do the things they say they are going to do, etc. etc.
No backbone, no integrity. No commitment.
If you cant pick a team 100% and stick with it, how can you be counted on for anything?
Hey, why don’t we just starting picking fantasy wives. Fantasy children? Fantasy jobs? Where does it all end?
While Jake is a good friend, I’ll never forget that look on his face when the Bills won. I think it was still covered in hot sauce from my famous wings.
I might sound angry to you guys. I’m really not. I hate that we lost our home opener, but I’ll get over it. I’m just venting because I started to see the damage fantasy football is doing to this sport a couple years ago. A huge Bears fan Doug Hatch was over watching the Bears/Green Bay game, we were down and he looked surprisingly content.
He said that Aaron Rodgers was his fantasy quarterback.
Pathetic.
P.S. If you play fantasy football and I’ve offended you, think about it for a minute. You probably offended yourself.
