Super Sleepers(<5%)

TE Larry Donnell, Giants (1%) – It was a mystery who the Giants TE would be this season and after a 5 catch, 58 yard, 8 target debut, it appears that Donnell is the guy. Eli throws to the tight end more than most QBs, so Donnell could have fantasy value though I admit I know nothing about him.

WR Rod Streater, Raiders (5%) – There were flashes of fantasy relevance from Streater last season and it looks like he may be new QB Derek Carr’s go-to guy. With any rookie QB there are going to be some rough patches, but the Raiders will be losing often and forced to throw the ball. Streater led the Raiders in targets with 7 and that should be a weekly occurrence.

WR Brian Quick, Rams (4%) – The Rams QB situation is a mess, but reports out of training camp had Quick becoming the Rams #1 option and that was the case in week 1. Quick led the team with 9 targets and caught 7 of them for 99 yards. The Rams aren’t going to be a high-powered offense this year, but if Quick gets 8-10 targets per week he will be a viable Flex play at least.

Kevin Ogletrees (No Thanks)

WR Allen Hurns, Jaguars (13%) – The undrafted rookie will be a popular waiver add after a 4 catch, 100 yard, 2 TD debut in week 1, but Hurns only caught 1 pass after the first two drives, both Cecil Shorts and 2nd round pick Allen Robinson will be healthy soon and cut into his playing time, and Chad Henne is still the QB. If you can get Hurns for a couple of dollars, then go for it, just don’t get caught in a bidding war for the guy most likely to be this year’s Kevin Ogletree (2 TDs week 1, 2 TDs rest of the season).

WR Devin Hester, Falcons (2%) – If you are a Bears fan you already know how this will end. The Bears tried to make Hester a WR for a few years with often comical results. Hester struggles with the route tree, adjusting to the ball, and catching the ball. Pretty much all the skills you need to be a good WR, so don’t be fooled by his solid week 1 results (5 catches, 99 yards).

RB Benny Cunningham, Rams (12%) – Once Rams HC Jeff Fisher said that they would be “going with the hot hand”, Cunningham became a player of interest. If you have a deep bench then feel free to add him, but I see a lot more 5-8 carry games in his future as the Rams implement the dreaded RBBC.

TE Jared Cook, Rams (14%) – In 2012 Cook’s best game was in week 1 (64 yards). In 2013 Cook’s best game was in week 1 (141 yards, 2 TDs). Don’t be fooled by his 4-56 line. Cook is a tease.
