Best Matchup:
Drew Brees (MIN): Don’t overact to Brees’ struggles early, with Minnesota still dealing with the Adrian Peterson situation the Saints have a very nice matchup in the Superdome home opener. With Mark Ingram out, Brees should be throwing the ball early and often against a defense that maybe off to a good start in 2014, but still finished last against the quarterback in a year ago.
Worst Matchup:
Philip Rivers (BUF): Though he put up a whopping 28 points against a tough Seattle Seahawks defense a week ago, expect Philip Rivers to be kept in check on the road against the Bills. A morning game (10 AM San Diego time) in Buffalo without starting running back Ryan Matthews makes this matchup one Philip Rivers owners should avoid this week.
