  • Special teams finally made a positive contribution as Ahmad Dixon covered a muffed punt to set up the Bears’ second score.  Robbie Gould hit a clutch 45-yard field goal to extend the Bears lead to 8 points when the Jets were threatening to make a comeback.  Pat O’Donnell nearly had another punt blocked.  Rocket Rashad showed signs of life in the return game.

    Coaching (B)

Give Marc Trestman and company for preparing the team for back to back, coast to coast, primetime road games.  Trestman and Rex Ryan engaged in an interesting chess match with Trestman besting Ryan.  Trestman was saved from himself as the refs wouldn’t allow him to challenge what he believed to be a Geno Smith fumble.  Smith’s momentum was deemed stopped, but his knee was also down before the ball came out.
