Best Matchup
Philip Rivers (NYJ): For the second consecutive week Philip Rivers finds himself in an ideal matchup, facing off against a Jets secondary that’s been one of the worst in the NFL. The fact that is the opposite is true about New York’s run defense (allowing just 63.5 rushing yards per game) makes Rivers an even better play with Donald Brown struggling to get over 2.0 yards per carry since the Ryan Matthews injury. The Chargers quarterback will be forced to throw the ball early and often in this Week Five matchup.
Worst Matchup
Matt Ryan (@NYG): Having won just one road game in the past two seasons, the Falcons seem to have lost their edge outside the Georgia Dome. Ryan’s play is certainly part of the problem as he’s throw four touchdowns and five interceptions on the road this season, compared to six touchdowns and zero interceptions at home. Maybe he can turn it around in New York, but considering his track record Ryan is at best a risky start on Sunday.
