Game Day Menu Week 5 – Bears vs Panthers

BBQ Pulled Pork

Meal #2: For those of you who do not have a smoker, here’s a BBQ Pulled Pork
from BBQ King.

The Perfect French Fry

But this recipe does include smoker directions in addition to using the oven. Cooking the pork shoulder is super easy, so let it do its thing for three hours in the oven or 10 hours in the smoker. Included is a vinegar based barbeque sauce that is rounded out with two hole lemons that is simmered with brown sugar, ketchup, ground mustard, garlic powder and cayenne pepper until the perfect velvety consistency for the cooked pork to bathe in. Again, you can make sandwiches; I would highly recommend topping this one with cole slaw as well or not.

Suggested sides are: Onion Rings and French Fries.

Where can you go wrong with either of these sides?

Dessert: Flat Apple Pie

Since it is now fall officially, and to complete an easy, yet tasty menu, here’s an apple pie that is free form and portable. I would serve one quarter per person at your party and one recipe makes two pies, so plan accordingly if you need to double or triple the batch. This recipe does contain a pie crust, but if you running short on time, buy a box or two of the refrigerated pie crusts and simply top it with the filling. Bake ‘em and don’t tell anyone that you didn’t make the dough from scratch.

The Lady’s Brunch Burger

Now this week’s menu may not be a Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding. Or a Krispy Kreme breakfast burger, but I will guarantee you’ll live to experience next week’s Bears game. Enjoy!
