The Vikings knew they were in trouble once Adrian Peterson was suspended from the team. But now, down to their third quarterback of the season, things somehow got even worse for Minnesota. Former starter and first-round pick Christian Ponder took over for injured rookie Teddy Bridgewater on Sunday and struggled his way to a 22-for-44 performance, with 222 yards and two interceptions. It will be in the Vikings’ best interest to get Bridgewater back on the field as soon as possible in order to audition as their starter for the future. As for the rest of the team? The Vikings simply need to stay healthy and weather the storm the rest of the season.
