Sit’em

QB

Cam Newton @CIN (47%, 17) – He was off to another awful game until the Bears went into a soft prevent-esque defense at the end of the 1st half. Newton picked it apart for his best drive of the season and carried that momentum into the 2nd half for his first 2 TD game of the season. Despite his moderate success last week, he won’t see any prevent zones in Cincinnati this week and the Bengals had shut down everyone they have faced before last week’s game in New England. I think Cam finishes with under 20 points for the 5th consecutive week.

Colin Kaepernick @STL (39%, 17) – I keep picking Kaepernick to under perform and he keeps doing it. Until I see otherwise, I am keeping him on my bench. The Rams aren’t a good team, but their defense is decent and I think Kaepernick’s struggles continue this week.

Tony Romo @SEA (39%, 16) – He’s had a mini-resurgence since the 2nd half of week 3, but playing in Seattle isn’t good for even the best QBs. I am benching Romo in every league that I have a reliable backup (Cutler, Wilson) but Romo should be able to at least come close to his 15 projected with a couple big plays to Dez Bryant.

RB

Zac Stacy SF (47%,11) – He’s dealing with a strained calf, facing one of the best run defenses in football and Rams HC Jeff Fisher has a quick trigger with his RBs. I’m staying away this week.

Steven Jackson CHI (43%, 13) – The Bears have improved their interior run defense and I don’t think S-Jax is explosive enough to break off any long runs any more. He may get lucky and vulture a short-yardage TD, but I think he will continue to lose carries to Antone Smith and rookie Devonta Freeman.

Lamar Miller GB (40%,12) – It was fun for Miller owners while it lasted but it sounds like Knowshon Moreno is back this week which will mean split carries between the two backs. Miller did enough to earn a significant split while Moreno was out, but I want to see how the Dolphins coaches distribute the carries before I start either RB.

Trent Richardson @HOU (36%, 11) – Every week, forever.

Update: I removed Joique Bell after news that Reggie Bush is out and Bell is going to play. Bell will be the lead back for the Lions this week and is a strong play now.
