This was the most complete of game the team has played all season; it was another step forward.
This game was not without it’s head scratching moments. I don’t know what Trestman and Co. are thinking during the last 3-4 minutes of the 1st half but something needs to change. The offense is wasting WAY too much time and in turn, not giving themselves enough time to take multiple shots into the end zone and score more points. They get too cute and too conservative.
It is not working, and it is as frustrating as having to hear your Packer fan buddies gloat about their record against the Bears the last few years.
I hate the Packers…
With that being said, it seemed as though all the issues the team has seen the past two weeks and the ineffectiveness of the offense in the 2nd half was washed away; for this game at least. The Bears had two key scoring drives in the 3rd and 4th quarters that helped put the game away.
This was another solid win and it gets the Bears back to .500. I believe the Bears are on the right track in their growth and development. There were a lot of positives to take from this game but there were also some learning opportunities.
In the story of Good Bears, Bad Bears we definitely saw Good Bears against Atlanta. I expect the team to take another step forward next week against a team that gave the Packers all they could handle.
What do you think Bears fans? Are the Bears headed in the right direction or was this a one week anomaly and the Bears are not actually getting any better? Let me know in the comment section!
BEAR DOWN!!!
As is tradition after a Bears Victory enjoy…
