For me the key to this game for Jay, was that all aspects worked. The running game did well, the short routes along with those deep ones.  He looked comfortable, and had a nice 9 yard scramble.

Granted the Atlanta defense doesn’t make many OC lose sleep, but you still have to go out and be disciplined and execute.  Jay had no interceptions, and that record shows the Bears 3-0 when Jay is flawless and 0-3 when he has thrown one or more. I see no correlation in this stat other than its a quirk of statistics.  With this victory the Bears are now back to .500 football at 3-3.

So now back to Soldier field to face the 2-3 Miami Dolphins.  The Dolphins lost a tough one to the Pack in the last seconds, but don’t let their record fool you. They are now the #1 rated defense in the NFL, there is little weakness in their game. Good against run with a strong pass rush. The coverage is good as well. So they pose are real challenge for the Bears offense.

This will be probably more of a crucial test for Cutler. He does have Alshon and Brandon healthy and Bennett is still a key part of that vertical game. If he can keep everyone hitting all cylinders, this could be the start of a mini run heading into the bye week 9.
