At least the Bears record is not as bad as mine. I want to pick the Bears this week, but I don’t know if I can. It will all depend on if Jay Cutler can take care of the football and if the defensive line can generate pressure on Ryan Tannehill. So far this year, Jay Cutler has thrown too many interceptions at home and the defensive line can’t seem to generate any pressure on that sloppy grass at Soldier Field. Dolphins win by a field goal and panic shall ensue.

Even without Lance Briggs and the rest of their starting linebackers last weekend, the Bears defense stepped up big time against a solid offensive unit.  This week they’ll get a Dolphins team that boasts one of the most effective running games in the league.  It won’t be pretty, but expect Jay Cutler to turn in another solid game en route to a Bears’ victory.

People are saying that this game should be an easy Bears victory – it won’t be. The Bears are 0-2 at home, to start. Miami has been able to put up 136 yards/game rushing this year and the Bear defense has been an embarrassment against the run at Soldier Field so far this year. Furthermore, the Fins are 6th in the NFL in total defense and have some guys up front that create some pressure.

That being said, I still like the Bears in a hard fought game. Miami turns the ball over too much, for starters. I think the Bears defense takes away the running lanes and challenge QB Ryan Tannehill to beat them – he will not. Offensively, Jordan Mills better WAKE up against pass rusher Cameron Wake (pun intended), or this may be another rough home game vs. an AFC East opponent. Jordan – I’m challenging you this week, my friend.

After playing their most complete game of the season last week in Atlanta it’s hard not to pick the Bears in Week Seven. Though Chicago has yet to win a game at home in 2014, the team should be able to secure a win against an inferior Miami Dolphins team.
