Let’s go bullets with the rest of my first half notes:
- Nice sack by Jeremiah Ratliff to start the game. Put the Dolphins behind the chains right off the bat. Good push by Houston alongside.
- Odd play calling with great field position on the Bears’ first series. With third and short, they opted for a bomb to Jeffery.
- Dolphins come out with some read-option looks from Tannehill on second series. Running right at Shea.
- McClellin fell down in red zone coverage to allow an easy pitch and catch to Charles Clay for the game’s first score.
- Bears offense looking really out of sync early in the game. Horrible lateral pass by Cutler to Ka’Deem Carey costs the Bears 10 yards and puts them behind schedule.
- Ratliff adds another sack to get 2 in the half. Willie Young and Lamarr Houston also having a strong half for the Bears defense.
- Ratliff with another sack for three in the first half.
- Caleb Sturgis pushes a 50-yard FG attempt wide right.
- Jay Cutler with another god-awful interception. To make matters worse, the Bears offense is at bad at tackling as their defense, allowing a big Miami return.
