While the Bears did little to contain Brady, they did do a respectable job defending against the run. The Patriots did manage to rush for 122 yards as a team, but the Bears limited them to just 3.8 yards per carry. The most notable sequence of Chicago’s run defense came in the first half when they stopped the Patriots on four consecutive run plays at the goal line.
Of course, after that, the Patriots turned the game into a blowout through the air, and the Bears never recovered.
