Special Teams: C –

The special teams had a so-so outing against the Patriots. Pat O’Donnell did average 47 yards on four punts, but he also had a punt that traveled just 38 yards. In addition to that, the unit gave up a 42-yard punt return to Julian Edelman, which set up one of many scores for the Patriots.

Chris Williams averaged 18.8 yards on five kickoff returns, but the Bears have yet to find the player who can replace Devin Hester. While the specials teams unit continues to be a work in progress, they are certainly not the reason the Bears played so poorly.
