CB Al Louis-Jean – It was a rough day for the 21-year-old corner. ALJ came in the game when Fuller left after re-aggravating his hip injury and Tom Brady went after ALJ early and often. On the day he gave up 7 catches for 87 yards and a TD and also had a pass interference call in the end zone. It was an ugly debut, but considering ALJ’s age (21), lack of experience (played just 8 games in college), the fact that he was playing against a hall-of-fame QB, and that he started the season as a developmental project on the practice squad… It wasn’t all that bad. ALJ was close to making some plays and with a little more experience he has the talent to develop into a solid NFL corner.

FS Brock Vereen – With Chris Conte back in the lineup, Vereen was back on the bench but did get 23 defensive snaps in the 2nd half. Vereen was solid for the 2nd week in a row. He didn’t miss any tackles and seemed to be in the right place in coverage. That’s two weeks in a row with minimal mistakes and Vereen has earned the chance for a start the next time Conte gets hurt or when the Bears start focusing on development over wins.

P Pat O’Donnell  – Another solid day of punting for O’Donnell with a respectable 47.3 average. His first punt was a bit of a shank, but it was into the wind and he made up for it later with a booming 61 yarder. O’Donnell look like a keeper to me.

OLB Christian Jones – Got his 2nd start of the year, but his first at weak-side OLB and let the Bears in tackles with 10. Overall Jones played alright; He did a good job covering RBs out of the backfield, didn’t miss any tackles and didn’t look overmatched. There were definitely some things that could be improved on though. Jones had a hard time shedding blockers and fell for multiple play-action fakes from Tom Brady. There are 10 year vets that still fall for Brady’s play fakes so it’s not a glaring mistake, but Jones does need to do a better job disengaging from blocks. Pro Football Focus gave Jones a -.7 grade which is basically replacement level, but I think Jones showed enough potential to get another shot as a starter this season.

RB Senorise Perry – Played on special teams coverage units but didn’t record any tackles.

LB DeDe Lattimore – Was on the active roster but did not play.
