Matthew Stafford did it again. The Lions quarterback came through in crunch time on Sunday, hooking up with running back Theo Riddick on an 11-yard score with just 29 seconds left in their matchup against the Dolphins. Stafford finished the game with 280 yards, two touchdowns and an interception, most of which went to Calvin Johnson in his return from injury. Johnson and Golden Tate combined for a whopping 18 catches for 222 yards and a touchdown during Sunday’s victory. The Lions’ defense continued its stifling play, limiting the Dolphins to just 50 yards rushing and forcing a pair of turnovers. Detroit will now prepare for a road showdown against the short-handed Cardinals next weekend, who lost quarterback Carson Palmer for the season on Sunday due to an ACL tear.
