2. We All Love a Train Wreck

If you’ve ever sat on the Kennedy for half an hour only to crawl past a crash cleanup site on the other side of the road, you’ve familiar with the term Gaper’s Block.  Sometimes I think we invented the concept in Chicago.   Let’s face it, we all love a train wreck.  That’s why many fans, the die-hardiest of die-hards didn’t turn off the TV about halfway through the second quarter of the Packer game.

I started writing up my post-game reaction post for the second game in a row before the team headed back to the locker room for halftime.  The result was clear.  But I kept watching.  I couldn’t look away.  If you tuned out early, you missed the Pat O’Donnell blocked/fumbled punt.

You missed the Chris Williams kick return that actually got past the 20.  Heck, it went all the way to the other end zone for a touchdown.   You don’t want to miss those exciting plays, do you?  What are you going to talk about at the water cooler?  This second half of the season is going to become fun bad.  Embrace the bad. Enjoy the wreck.
