Injuries and lack of talent combined with coaching and scheme. So basically, everything is wrong with the Bears defense. Bringing in Lamarr Houston and Jared Allen was supposed to solidify the defensive line and make everyone behind them better. That didn’t work. And to my untrained eyes, usually under the influence of alcohol, tell me that the players are just making too many mistakes. Linebackers missing tackles, safeties out of position, hugging the line of scrimmage and getting fooled by the good ol play action fake. I don’t know if it is the reason or just a coincidence, but since Brian Urlacher “left” the Bears, the defense has been in disarray. I also think that Lance Briggs just doesn’t care any more, and who can blame him. The Bears defense just plain sucks now.

So Adam, what are your predictions for the game on Sunday?

"I expect a very tightly contested game.  I do think that Bridgewater can take advantage of the struggling Bears pass defense and toss two touchdowns.  With tight end Kyle Rudolph hopefully making his return, he should have that big bodied target in the red zone and on 3rd downs to help take some pressure off him. I also think that the Vikings #4 pass defense will be able to disrupt and intercept Jay Cutler on a couple occasions.  I expect big games from pass rushing DE Everson Griffen and OLB Anthony Barr, with those two men combining to bring down the quarterback at least three times I believe that Minnesota will squeak out a win to get to 5-5 on the season and keep their playoff hopes alive, even though it would be a long shot for them to get in.  Minnesota is a team that could be scary in the future if they keep building on the team that they have. What are your game predictions?"

My prediction is that Jared Allen will continue his winless streak at Soldier Field. The Bears are terrible and I don’t see the offense or defense stepping up to do anything special. The Vikings should be able to take the ball away from Jay Cutler. I honestly can’t see the Bears winning this one. My hopes have been shattered. Allen will probably have one sack so he can do his little dance. Then he will tear a bicep and will join Lamarr Houston on the celebration IR.

Vikings 24 Bears 14

So there you have it. I have given up on my beloved Bears. There is always next year. Maybe they will surprise us all and actually win a game at home this week. As you can tell, I don’t think so.

Go Bears!
