Sit’em

QB

Matt Stafford, @AZ (66%, 17) – Hasn’t had over 20 fantasy points since week 4 (Jets) and has his toughest match-up of the year so far this week at the Nest. The Cardinals blitz more than any team in football and they will put Stafford in some tough situations Sunday. Stafford may connect with Megatron or Tate on a deep ball or two but I think there will be a few turnovers as well.

Colin Kaepernick, @NYG (47%, 19) – Is averaging more fumbles (2) than TDs (1) over the last two weeks and has been a mediocre QB all season (16th QB in fantasy points). You should be able to find a better QB to start this week. To give you an idea how highly I think of Kaepernick, I am starting Josh McCown over him this week.

RB

Rashad Jennings, SF (46%, 13) – I’m following my “first week back from injury” rule on this one. The Niners have a tough run defense anyway, but I’m hearing Jennings could be in 60/40 split with rookie Andre Williams which pretty much ruins both of their fantasy value.

Jerick McKinnon, @CHI (42%, 13) – The Bears defense has been picked apart through the air two games in a row, but their run defense has been pretty solid (13th in rushing yards allowed). McKinnon is also banged up and will lose goal line touches to Matt Asiata. I think McKinnon will get you somewhere in the 8-12 point range which is sub-optimal for a starting RB.

Ben Tate, HOU (35%, 10) – I think this is Terrance West’s job unless he blows it this week. Tate will still get some carries after all his whining this week, but not enough to warrant a starting spot.

Trent Richardson, NE (34%, 12) – Still sucks.

Montee Ball, @STL (33%, 10) – First week back from injury and C.J. Anderson looked like a stud last week. Keep Ball on your bench until you see him get 15+ touches.

Darren McFadden, @SD (32%, 12) – DMC isn’t close to the player he was early in his career (5.4 ypc). His burst is gone and his 3.5 ypc average is about what you can expect moving forward. He gets a slight bump in PPR leagues since he’s averaging 4 catches per game over the last 4 weeks, but he hasn’t broken a run over 20 yards all season.
