The Bears beat the Vikings. Whoop-die doo! The Bears should have destroyed the Vikings if they were the team that we thought they were. I’m still not going to let them off the hook. If the Bears lose this week, which I predict them to, then this season is over. Who am I kidding, this season is over already. Next up on the schedule, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Here is another under performing team coached by none other than former Chicago Bears coach Lovie Smith. If the Bears put a beat down on the Bucs like the Falcons did to them, then maybe I will be a little more optimistic. But until then, they totally lost me after they lost to the Packers. This week we contacted Jose Martinez, the co-editor for The Pewter Plank to discuss the match up between the Chicago Bears vs. Buccaneers.
Before we start this week’s edition of talking smack, can you tell our readers a little something about yourself?
"My name is Jose Martinez. I joined The Pewter Plank as a co-editor in August. Even though I do not live anywhere near the Tampa area, I became a fan of the Buccaneers after they changed to the royal red and pewter in 1997 because I simply liked the color scheme. As for my other sports team affiliations, I’m a New Yorker, so I root for my hometown Knicks and Mets, which also means I can’t get enough of that sweet feeling of depression and disappointment. Now, let’s cut to the chase. Do Bears fans wish they still had Lovie Smith on their team’s sidelines?"
