As has been the case for most of the season, Forte did not get a lot of opportunities early in the game and that trend continued against the Buccaneers. In the first half, Forte had just five carries despite the fact that the passing game was pretty much nonexistent.

The second half was a much different story, as Forte rushed for two touchdowns in the third quarter, finishing the game with 89 yards on 23 carries. Note to Bears: Forte is the best player on the team right now and the team thrives more times than not when he plays a prominent role in the offense.

I’ve said this once and will make a plea once again to the coaching staff: Please give the ball to Forte 25-30 times per games, and this is especially true when the passing game isn’t gaining much traction, as was the case in this game.
