For those new to the site, when a player or coach doesn’t really show up during a Bear’s game, they get put on the Milk Carton. As most of you know, people’s pictures used to be put at the back of milk cartons when they went missing. So the Milk Carton for the Bears is more about who went missing or played terribly during the game. Here are the nominees

Even in beating Lovie Smith, Sunday’s win was unsatisfying. The Bears defense played well against a terrible offense and their offense looked pretty bad against a pedestrian defense. No one from the defense deserves a Milk Carton for being on the field so much yet only surrendering 13 points.

Jay Cutler has to get the Milk Carton. He proved once again that he is not a good quarterback. The receivers were not helpful and the pressure was overwhelming, but that does not excuse a pitiful first half performance. Even his touchdown pass was low. He did not do enough to win a game against a good team.

People are going to continue to blame the defense and the receivers. However, the offensive woes are mostly at the fault of Cutler and the playcalling. Jay is an inconsistent quarterback and it will always be that way.
