A lot of people are checking the injury report for tonight’s matchup between the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys.  For Bears fans, it’s looking ahead to next season, so the status of their players probably has more importance to their fantasy lineups than the outcome of the game.  A report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has the latest on the Alshon Jeffery Injury Update:

Jeffery has been nursing a sore hamstring since Week 2 and the results have been mixed.  Jeffery was clearly limited against the Niners in Week 2 and struggled to catch 3 balls for 47 yards on only 6 targets as Brandon Marshall got to shine.  Jeffery has turned it on lately with touchdowns in 4 of the last 5 games including a pair of first half TD’s against the Detroit Lions.  What’s probably more important for Jeffery is to see his Targets going up, with double digit targets in 3 of the last 4 games.

I’m heavily invested in Jeffery in a couple of leagues, so it’s good to see that he appears to be on track to go despite being listed as Questionable.  If this were a normal Thursday Night game, I might be a little more hesitant to play Jeffery but since the Bears played on Thanksgiving Thursday last week, Jeffery has the normal full rest.   I’m planning to play Jeffery unless word comes down that he comes out for warmups and something doesn’t feel right.  Stay tuned to my Twitter feed for the latest on the Bears injury report when the inactives are announced about 90 minutes before kickoff.  The good news is that Jeffery is going on Thursday night, so you have plenty of opportunities to sit him down and find a suitable replacement on the waiver wire.

Good luck in your Fantasy Playoffs!
