Sit’em

QB

Russell Wilson, SF (50%, 18) – He’s coming off a great game, but the Niners defense is a much fiercer group than the Eagles that Wilson picked apart last week. The Niners defense have played well all year and I feel that they might have an extra edge this week due to all the controversy going on with the coaching staff and offense. I would be okay starting Wilson over about half the QBs in the league, but if you have another option like Cutler or Rivers, use it.

Ryan Tannehill, @NE (30%, 17) – He’s played poorly the last two weeks despite playing defenses that struggle to stop the pass (NYJ, BAL). If Tannehill can’t throw against those squads, how is he going to do against one of the best pass defenses in the league?

Colin Kaepernick, @SEA (27%, 16) – I don’t understand how 27% of Yahoo players could be starting this guy! Kapernick has only had 1 good game all season and is playing on the road against the best D in the league this week. There is an almost zero chance he plays well this week.

Mark Sanchez, DAL (26%, 18) – He looked awful last week, but that could have had more to do with Seattle’s defense which is playing great right now. Either way, I need to see Sanchez bounce back before I put him in my lineup during the playoffs.

Johnny Manziel, CIN (15%, 18) – If it wasn’t a playoff week, I would actually think about starting Manziel. If you are still in the playoffs then you probably have a better option than Manziel. He’s got the potential to put up a 250 passing yard / 75 rushing yard day, but could also have a negative point game. No one knows, so just go with the QB that got you here.

Tre Mason, AZ (58%, 13) – The Cards run defense is one of the stingiest in the league and Mason will have a hard time finding running room this week. He wasn’t used at all in the passing game in week 14, which lowers his value considerably in PPR leagues.

Frank Gore, @SEA (47%, 9) – Has had 13 carries or less in three straight games. The Niners offense is a mess and I’m staying away from everyone involved this week. The Seahawks defense is in late 2013 form and it could be ugly this week for Gore and the Niners.

Ryan Matthews, DEN (45%, 11) – He’s got a bad ankle (again) and the Broncos run D is giving up less than 4 yards per carry. Matthews is questionable to play, but even if he does I think his workload will be monitored and he will lose carries to Donald Brown.

Bishop Sankey, NYJ (30%, 10) – Isn’t getting enough carries to deserve a spot in your lineup. Sankey has had 11 or less carries in 4 straight games and is barely used in the passing game (1.1 rec/game).

Trent Richardson. HOU (26%, 9) – Still sucks.
