Sit’em

QB

Philip Rivers, @SF (39%, 16) – It looks like Rivers has lost a bit off his fastball as the season progressed. He struggled to get the ball into tight windows last week and that could be trouble against a solid Niners D. The loss of Keenan Allen and Ryan Matthews leaves him short of weapons as well.

Ryan Tannehill, MIN (27%, 18) – The Vikings are a top 10 defense against the pass and Tannehill has looked mediocre at best the last 3-4 weeks. Risky.

Colin Kaepernick, SD (25%, 17) – Leads all QBs for most times showing up in my Sit’em column. For some reason 25% of Yahoo users still start him.

RG3, @PHI (16%, 20) – Do you want to risk your fantasy title on a QB that is openly despised by his coach and teammates and also has a tendency to get hurt during games? Me neither.

RB

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Gio Bernard, DEN (50%, 12) – With Hill taking over as the primary RB in Cincy, Gio becomes a risky play (high upside though). The Broncos have a tough run D anyway, so I would look elsewhere.

Shane Vereen, @NYJ (36%, 12) – Has 10 carries and 5 catches total over the last three weeks. No reason to ever start an RB averaging just 5 touches per game.

Isaiah Crowell, @CAR (35%, 11) – There are still concerns over Crowell’s hip which may limit his availability this weekend. Even if healthy, he is still splitting carries with Terrance West which keeps them both from deserving a spot in your lineup.

Doug Martin, GB (25%, 10) – He had a 63 yard run last week which boosted his yards per carry to a whopping 3.5 on the season. Martin still sucks and the Bucs should be down big early which will limit his carries.

Toby Gerhart, TEN (24%, 12) – Should get 10-15 carries against a bad Titans run D, but I’m not confident enough that he can do anything behind a bd Jags O-line to start him in a must win game.

Bishop Sankey, @JAX (27%, 10) – Was out carried 17-4 by Shonn Greene last week. If you can’t beat out Shonn Greene, you don’t deserve a spot on my fantasy roster.
