For those new to the site, when a player or coach doesn’t really show up during a Bear’s game, they get put on the Milk Carton. As most of you know, people’s pictures used to be put at the back of milk cartons when they went missing. So the Milk Carton for the Bears is more about who went missing or played terribly during the game. Here are the nominees

I don’t know what I expected. The Bears lost another disappointing game to the Lions on Sunday, putting them at 6-10 on the season. It seems silly to keep talking about who goes missing week after week because this year it seems to be everyone, but it’s still fun to single people out.
This week’s milk carton never took the field. Quarterback Jay Cutler was, as we all know, benched in favor of Jimmy Clausen. The latter filled in admirably but could not get the job done against the Lions stingy defense. As for Cutler, he gets the Milk Carton because he might not just be missing; he might be gone forever.
Jay Cutler is an adequate quarterback who is occasionally capable of playing very well. I do not think he has the ability to lead the Bears to a championship. Having said that, I would prefer the Bears to keep him going forward, strictly because there are really no better options as of now. Clausen, however, should be allowed to seriously compete for the starting job.
What do you think? Should the Bears keep Clausen around? Should Cutler be gone or should he start for the Bears again next season? I’d love to read your intelligent comments.
