Offensive Coordinator: Adam Gase

Though the Gase hire became fairly predictable after John Fox joined the Bears, it remains impressive nevertheless especially after he was mentioned as a candidate in several head coaching searches.

Peyton Manning may be able to run an offense by himself, but make no mistake, Gase’s presence remained vital to the team’s offensive success. With Gase as offensive coordinator, the Broncos have led the league in total yards, points per game, and passing yards over the past two seasons. Coming from Denver and Peyton Manning, it will be interesting to see if Gase can get a similar type of efficiency out of Jay Cutler (or whoever leads the Bears in 2015).

Quarterback is hardly the only position that the Bears expect will improve with the arrival of Gase. Before transitioning to being a quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator, Gase held the position of wide receivers coach for two years from (2009-2010). In fact, his first year there, he coached Brandon Marshall to a 101 reception/1120 yard/10 touchdown season, numbers the Bears expect from their 31-year old in 2015 after a down year in 2014 (61 reeption/721 yard/8 touchdown).

With his recent track record and current value on the open market, Gase remains a smart signing by Chicago.
