Hurt Draft Stock:

OT Rob Havenstein, Wisconsin (6’7 | 321)

Arm length = 33 3/4 | Hand size = 9 7/8 | Bench reps (225) = 16

Had the lowest number of bench reps of all the offensive lineman at the combine. His arm length is right around average compared to the other OLs in Indy, so that’s not a viable excuse. For a player who has built his draft value as a punishing run blocker, his lack of strength in the bench press is going to hurt his overall stock.

OT Brett Boyko, UNLV (6’7 | 303)

Arm length = 32″ | Hand size = 9 | Bench reps (225) = NA

Boyko has good footwork and technique as a pass blocking left tackle, but there were questions coming in about his functional strength. His refusal to participate in the bench press can be viewed as either hiding a weakness or a legitimate injury. Either way it isn’t going to help Boyko’s stock any. He also had the shortest arms of any offensive lineman measured and the 2nd smallest hand size. Boyko was a borderline draftable prospect anyway and is probably in the undrafted free agent pool now.

C Reese Dismukes, Auburn (6’3 | 296)

Arm length = 32 1/4″ | Hand size = 8 7/8″ | Bench (225) = 23

Coming off a Senior Bowl week where he was bullied a bit due to lack of strength, Dismukes measurements aren’t going to make teams feel any better about his ability to transition to the NFL. Dismukes had the smallest hands of the all the O-lineman, which has relevance as a center, and also had the 2nd shortest arms and the 6th worst (tie) bench performance. It hasn’t been a great month for Dismukes, but he can still salvage his stock with a good weekend and pro day.

OT Austin Shepard, Alabama (6’4 | 315)

Arm length = 32 7/8″ | Hand size = 10″ | Bench (225) = 17

I ranked Shepard higher than most in my OT rankings, but he will probably drop a few spots in my next iteration due to his 2nd worst performance in the bench and 7th shortest arms among all OLs at the combine. Shepard’s lack of arm length is going to force some teams to rank him as a guard where his lack of strength is a significant red flag.
