Chicago Bears Free Agent Options: Tight End

My Recommendation:

The Bears are set at TE with Pro Bowler Martellus Bennett, but they have very little depth behind him. Zach Miller has a ton of upside but can’t stay healthy, Dante Rosario is a dime-a-dozen backup, and Blake Annen is an intriguing prospect who is still very raw. The Bears could use an upgrade over Rosario as a 2nd inline blocker and the obvious choice would be Virgil Green, but I don’t think he will be available.

If the Broncos bring back Green, then I think the Bears will stand pat at the TE position in free agency at least. I wouldn’t be surprised if they used a day 3 draft pick on a TE. If not, it shows that they have some faith in either Zach Miller or Blake Annen.
